(November 20, 2013) - The ClearPoint Neurosurgical Platform represents an alternative to conventional awake surgery for veterans with Parkinson’s disease. MRI Interventions, Inc. announced that Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in San Francisco, California, has become the first VA hospital to offer MRI-guided asleep deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery to veterans suffering from Parkinson's disease.
