Intel Explores Wearable Devices for Parkinson's Disease


(August 15, 2014) – Intel is partnering with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to use wearable gadgets such as smart watches to monitor patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and collect data that can be shared with researchers. By learning more directly from people living with PD about measurable aspects of the disease, such as slowness of movement, tremor and gait disturbances, they hope to improve research and treatment of PD.
